This Moscow Mule is cold, snappy, and ridiculously easy: vodka, fresh lime, and ginger beer over pebble ice. Plus my best mule tips and fun variations.
I love a drink that shows up looking a little dramatic, then turns out to be totally low effort. That is the Blue Lagoon in a nutshell. It’s bright blue, citrusy, and crisp, with just enough sweetness to feel like a treat without turning into candy.
This is my home-kitchen version: vodka , blue curaçao, and real lemon juice, shaken hard and poured over a mountain of ice. Some Blue Lagoon recipes lean on lemonade or lemon-lime soda for the citrus, but I like fresh lemon here because it keeps everything snappy. You can top it with lemon-lime soda for extra sparkle, or keep it a little stronger. Either way, it’s the kind of cocktail that makes everyone at the table ask, “Wait, what is that?”
