Golden, cheesy cornbread with jalapeños, crisp edges, and a tender center. Simple ingredients, clear steps, and skillet-baked goodness.
Honey cornbread is the side dish that makes a weeknight feel like you planned it. It is cozy and sturdy enough to dunk into chili, but still soft and tender in the middle with those crisp, golden edges that magically disappear first.
This version is lightly sweetened with honey (not a sugar bomb), and it is one bowl with ingredients you can find at any grocery store. I like baking it in a hot skillet so the bottom gets that toasty crunch. If you have ever had cornbread that was dry and sad, we are simply not doing that today.
